ASTTU Welcomes New Partner: Ironworkers Local 167
ST. LOUIS and MEMPHIS, Tenn., August 27, 2026 / — The Association of Skilled Trade and Transportation Unions (ASTTU) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Ironworkers Local 167, representing highly skilled ironworkers throughout the tri-state region of West Tennessee, East Arkansas, and Northern Mississippi.
For more than 100 years, Local 167 Members have helped build the infrastructure and landmarks that support communities across the region. Their work can be found in bridges, buildings, schools, factories, power plants, hospitals, stadiums, and other major structures. The Local’s roots date back to the early 20th century, when ironworkers working throughout Memphis sought to establish a local union of their own to better represent and protect workers in the growing city.
Today, Local 167 continues that tradition by providing the ironworking industry with a highly skilled, hardworking, and dedicated workforce. Its Members place a strong emphasis on continued training and maintaining the highest safety standards, while working in partnership with union contractors to deliver quality projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Through this partnership, Members of Ironworkers Local 167 will have access to ASTTU Membership and a range of programs, resources, and benefits designed to support union Members and their families.
