ST. LOUIS and BIRMINGHAM, AL, February 18, 2025 / — IBEW Local 136 has proudly served the electricians of Birmingham and Central Alabama for over 111 years. With more than 900 active members, Local 136 provides the region’s most highly trained, safety-focused, and job-ready electrical workforce. Their members are equipped with over 10,000 hours of accredited training and real-world experience, ensuring they complete projects efficiently, safely, and on budget. Committed to excellence, the local works hand-in-hand with contractor partners to deliver top-tier results while upholding the highest standards of professionalism.

Local 136 is more than a workforce. It is a Brotherhood built on respect, inclusion, and shared purpose. The union offers free training, paid benefits, and real career pathways for electrical workers, all while fighting for livable wages, strong retirement security, and fair treatment on the job.
