ASTTU Welcomes New Partner: Gas Workers Local G-555
ST. LOUIS and CLEVELAND, Ohio, August 25, 2026 / — The Association of Skilled Trade and Transportation Unions (ASTTU) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Gas Workers Union Local G-555, representing approximately 1,200 highly skilled union gas workers who provide essential natural gas services to communities, businesses, and homes throughout Northeast Ohio.
Local G-555 Members are expertly trained to install, service, and maintain the natural gas infrastructure their communities depend on every day. With a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and quality craftsmanship, the Local works to ensure its Members have the training and support needed to provide safe and dependable gas utility service while protecting the well-being of workers on the job.
As a local union of the Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA), AFL-CIO, G-555 is part of a national union representing more than 50,000 workers across the electric, gas, water, and nuclear industries. Through strong union representation, Local G-555 works to improve the professional and personal lives of its Members and their families while maintaining high standards of service for the customers and communities its Members serve.
Through this partnership, Members of Gas Workers Local G-555 will have access to ASTTU Membership and a range of programs, resources, and benefits designed to support union Members and their families.
